Is an adult group right for me?

Adult group lessons in Grindelwald are designed for all abilities looking to improve their skills in a positive and friendly environment with other skiers of a similar ability level, from beginners to advanced skiers.

Please note that we do not offer specific off-piste group lessons for adults, but please look at our private lessons if you want to improve your skills off the trail.

What to bring?

  • Arrive ready to ski and dressed in appropriate ski wear with ski/snowboard boots on
  • Equipment including skis and poles or a snowboard, and goggles or sunglasses. We also strongly recommend helmets although not compulsory for adults.
  • Valid ski pass (best in a pocket on your left hand side) – the Jungfrau area pass is what you need.

Arriving at the adult group lessons meeting point :

Our meeting point is located in Grindelwald outside the Hütte cafe at Kleine Scheidegg

Try and arrive around 5 – 10 minutes early to the lesson to allow time to meet the instructor and for the lesson to leave on time. Our instructor will be happy to chat with you about your ability level, and let you know the plan for the morning.

Getting to the slopes

Once the instructor has everyone joining that morning, it’s time to head to the slopes! For beginners, it is a 5 minute walk below Kleine Scheidegg to the beginner area and for those level 4+, you are in the heart of the ski area at 2061m. The Kleine Scheidegg – Mannlichen ski area is the biggest of the three ski areas available to us.

Morning skiing or snowboarding

If it’s the first morning, the instructor will get the group warmed up and assess everyone’s ability level. There may be some group changes to make sure everyone is matched up to ski with others of a similar ability.

The morning will then proceed with the instructor working on different drills and techniques to improve everyone’s ability and performance on the snow.

Finishing the lesson

At 12h30 the lesson will end. With adult lessons, we don’t have a set finishing location, but if any of the group wants to finish back at the Hütte cafe at Kleine Scheidegg, the instructor will take you there.
