[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Spread across several valleys, Gstaad boasts an extensive ski area with around 200km of pistes to choose from. Here is a brief guide on which of the Gstaad lift passes is right for you to make the most of your ski trip.<\/p>\n

First-time skiers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are two main beginner areas for starting out on; Snow Paradise in Sch\u00f6nried and Wisple in Gstaad.\u00a0\u00a0At both of these areas you can purchase tickets specifically for the beginner lifts which means there is no need to fork out on a full mountain lift pass while you are making your first turns and building confidence.<\/p>\n

A ticket at Snowparadise is usually around 10CHF. This gives you access to a magic carpet and a rope tow which is ideal for first-time skiers and small children.<\/p>\n

A ticket for the Z\u00fcckerli poma lift at Wispile is usually around 30CHF. This lift has several exit points, making it a great place to build confidence as you work your way to the top. Appropriate for levels 1-3.<\/p>\n

Intermediates<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Gstaad is home to a wide variety of fantastic intermediate terrain. The best blue and red runs are found in the Gstaad Eggli area and Saanenm\u00f6ser Rinderberg area. Both these areas are covered by single day and multi-day Gstaad lift passes. There is no need to change passes from area to area, giving you the opportunity to explore all that Gstaad has to offer over the course of your holiday.<\/p>\n

Lift passes can be purchased at the bottom stations of all the ski areas as well as at the Tourist Office in Gstaad Town Centre.<\/p>\n

Advanced<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For advanced skiers, buying a multi-day pass gives you the freedom to choose where you want ski depending on the conditions. These tickets cover the whole ski region including Glacier 3000, which features the highest and longest runs in the area. For those looking to dial in their technique on the steeps, the Wasserngrat area is home to the Tiger Run – one of the steepest pistes in Switzerland. This area is also included on Gstaad multi-day passes with single day tickets available at the chairlift.<\/p>\n

Adult Day tickets cost between 49 and 74CHF depending on the time of season. Multi day passes are available from 2 to 10 days and work out cheaper than buying individual tickets each day. Discounted price brackets are in place for children (6-15), adolescents (16-19) and seniors (65 and above). Children aged 5 and under ski for free.<\/p>\n

Non-Skiers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Single ride tickets are available at most of the larger gondolas and chairlifts, meaning non skiers can still ascend to the top of the mountains to enjoy the spectacular views or join friends and family at a mountain restaurant for lunch before taking the lift back down with no skiing required.<\/p>\n

An up and down ticket will usually cost between 25 and 45CHF depending on the lift and are available at the bottom stations of these lifts.<\/p>\n
