Childrens group lessons in Zermatt\u00a0<\/b><\/h1>\n

We often get asked how children\u2019s group lessons work, for both half day and full day ski lessons in Zermatt, so we\u2019ve put together a guide so you, and your kids, know exactly what to expect!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick Guide to our \u2018kids club\u2019 Zermatt:<\/b><\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Times:<\/b> 9h00 \u2013 12h00\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Running:<\/b> Sunday – Saturday most weeks of the winter<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Starting point:<\/b> Childrens group lessons in Zermatt meet outside at the top of Sunnegga Express lift station\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Pick-up point: Same as meeting point\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
  • Language: <\/b>English\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Who can join: <\/b>Children aged<\/span> 6-16 years of all ski ability levels<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What to bring to your kids lesson in Zermatt?<\/b><\/h4>\n

    Before you leave in the morning, make sure your child or teenager has the following with them:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Is ready to ski and dressed in appropriate ski wear with ski boots on<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Has all their equipment including skis and poles, helmet (compulsory) and goggles or sunglasses<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Has CHF 5 – 10 per day for a hot chocolate or snack during the break\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Has a valid ski pass in their pocket (left hand side)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Arriving at the meeting point :<\/b><\/h4>\n

      Our meeting points are located at the top of the Sunnegga Express.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Try and arrive around 5 – 10 minutes early to the lesson to allow time to meet the instructor and for the lesson to leave on time. Our instructor will be happy to chat with you about your child\u2019s ability level, exchange contact details and let you know the plan for the day.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”228482″ img_size=”large” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

      Getting to the slopes<\/b><\/h4>\n

      Once the instructor has everyone joining that morning, it\u2019s time to head to the slopes! For beginners, this means heading to the Wooli park in Zermatt at the top of the Sunnegga lift. For more advanced skiers they will head to areas on the mountain best for the groups ability level.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Morning skiing\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

      If it\u2019s the first morning, the instructor will get the group warmed up and ready to ski with some quick on-the-snow games, so everyone can get to know each other, then it\u2019s time for skis on! On the first day this will involve assessing the skiing level of all the children in the group, and making sure they are able to ski at this level. There may be some group changes to make sure everyone is matched up to ski with others of a similar ability.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Morning break and more skiing!<\/b><\/h4>\n

      After a good ski, it\u2019s time for a break, so an opportunity for a quick snack, hot chocolate, and toilet break! In the colder months this is always inside as an opportunity to warm up is very important. Then it\u2019s time for some more skiing!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      The daily content of each polar bear lesson will vary depending on the ability of the group. However, the focus is always on safety, fun and then learning.\u00a0 A similar daily structure is followed for each group level and our instructors make sure the skiing is kept fun and that the children leave each lesson feeling they have learnt something new, made some new friends and had lots of fun.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Home time\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

      At 12h00 the group will ski back down with their instructor to the meeting point, where children are collected by parents\/guardians.
