Altitude has a brand-new ski and snowboard school opening in Gstaad for the 2018-19 season. For those of you that have not visited Gstaad before, it is an upmarket resort town in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps. The resort is one of the largest ski areas in the Alps (220 km (137 mi) of slopes). A short drive (well 1 hour and 40 minutes) from Verbier or 150km from Geneva it is well located for a day’s escape from Verbier or Geneva.
There are some great slopes for beginners and intermediates in both skiing and cross-country skiing. There is also the option for extending the normal season of skiing at the nearby Glacier 3000, allowing skiing from October to May.
In the town there is a selection of prestigious international schools, and the peace and privacy it allows have helped it to become a popular holiday destination for royalty and numerous celebrities. The village is host to many luxurious shops and restaurants such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Moncler. It also hosts some amazing 5-star hotels such as the Grand Hotel Parka and the Alpina Gstaad.
This winter Altitude will have a small team of top qualified native English speaking instructors working in Gstaad and are looking forward to adding this resort to our growing portfolio.
