I would also recommend the instructors that I had for 5 mornings - Gina and Sammy. I’ve been trying to ski a few times before, however my fear of slopes always discouraged me before I’d even begun. After 5 mornings with Gina’s patience and clear instruction, combined with Sammy’s extensive expertise in teaching, I had just conquered this long-held fear and made enormous progress! I’m able to control my skis and no longer in fear. Thank you Gina and Sammy! I couldn’t have achieved this without you guys.

I’m an intermediate skier and have been... read more stuck at a bit of a plateau. I love a cruise-y blue and an easy (and short!) red, but lost all confidence when things got steep. I would freeze and bumble my way down the piste. Spending a week focusing on technique and working to lose some bad habits was exactly what I needed!

Our instructor, Matthew, was able to connect with each of us in the group on a personal level based on what was working for us — tips, tricks and drills that were tailored to our individual learning and skiing styles. He took the time to get to know us so he could have that impact — it felt like private lessons. Having the full week together also definitely helped so we had time to work on things and build on the prior days. I came out of it a significantly more confident skier with much improved technique. I even ENJOYED skiing down a long black piste for the first time ever.

I’d highly suggest AMP if you’re looking to improve your skills — Verbier is gorgeous and the skiing is sublime, but giving yourself a full week in that setting to get better is an AMAZING way to spend a holiday. And I’d highly recommend Matthew for lessons regardless of whether you’re taking the AMP course or other lessons.

  Improving skiing while having fun - Myself and two friends booked Patrick for a week in Verbier. We went for level 4, advanced beginners but not quite intermediates. Patrick was a fantastic instructor for us and... read more what we wanted to achieve. He starts with good stretching exercises and has a good understanding of the right pistes to choose. He balances perfectly teaching the technical learning while also having fun and making it interesting. For the first two days we focused on technique on the blues around Chaud and then that really teed us from day 3 to advanced onto reds in a controlled way. He is good fun and we could have a chat and laugh on the lifts too. Thanks Pat and Altitude team!

  Highly recommend. I had 4 days of private lessons with Ryan and made great progress - can't wait to return!
