  Avoid at all costs!! - Avoid at all costs!! I signed up for private lessons as a complete beginner for a week in December 2022. On my first day, the instructor Ryan Wilding took me... read more from the beginner bunny slopes to a red slope, with absolutely no explanation of what to expect. I had just barely learnt how to turn on my first day skiing ever. When paying for a private instructor, I trusted his judgement.

As a result, I was not equipped to handle such a challenging run and lost control. I fell and severely dislocated my elbow, suffered an arm fracture and a torn ligament. I was airlifted by helicopter to the nearest hospital in Interlaken.

Ryan Wilding is incompetent and completely unfit to be a ski instructor as he has zero regard for student's safety. The school's manger Ben Patrick offered nothing by way of a refund for the lessons missed due to injury. He had a very casual attitude towards the incident.

This entire experience has left me in serious pain wearing a cast, along with several thousands in medical bills. I urge anyone looking to ski to book elsewhere where your safety will be prioritized.

  Spent 5 days doing group lessons as a beginner and took three further private lessons. Had a fantastic time with my instructor Peter (ex-military), who also teaches people with disabilities.... read more Lessons were at Kleine Scheidegg, took the train up from Grindelwald every morning and afternoon. Peter built up my confidence while pushing me further and further each day. Very friendly, easy to understand, technically proficient, picking up my areas to work on and felt safe going down my first blue runs. He even threw in a few psychological pep talks after a mishap or two! Highly recommend Altitude and Peter. Will be back, not least for the stunning scenery.

He knew exactly when to push our limits but we never felt unsafe or rushed. Moreover, Ryan is great company to have on the slopes and made our week all the more enjoyable

We are intermediate skiers and were looking to improve our skiing technique, particularly... read more in relation to carving. Mike is very patient and very knowledgeable, and he gave us a lot of good tips to improve our skiing technique.

It was very easy to book lessons, we booked through the altitude desk in the Bernet Sports shop in Grindelwald.

I had two 2 hours lessons last year never... read more done it before this year had three 2 hours lessons and can now link turns on my tie and heel edges and stop safely on a red run this is all done to one person Jo my instructor. I asked for Jo again this year because she is a great coach very patient alot of fun but mainly she gives u great confidence very important when learning a new sport. Jo explains things very clearly and keeps u motivated I would highly recommend Altitude and especially Jo as your instructor for snowboarding or skiing thanks again Jo for being so patient while I was learning to link my turns I achieved what I wanted to achieve which was this so happy although I wont be back next year will definitely be back the year after and will ask for Jo to progress further good luck with the channel swim hope it all goes ok.
