Meet the Altitude Wengen Team

Our Wengen ski instructor team is made up of qualified and experienced instructors who all understand and appreciate the need for a quality service to be delivered. In addition, some of our instructors are specialists in teaching: children, nervous clients, people with disabilities, VIP’s, corporate groups and team building.

Michael Cowen

BASI ALPINE LEVEL 3, ISIA BASI LEVEL 2 ADAPTIVE

He has previously worked in Italy and Austria and has been with Altitude in Grindelwald and Wengen since 2009/10. Mike is also a qualified adaptive instructor (teaching skiers with disabilities).

Ellie Tregoning

BASI ALPINE LEVEL 2

Ellie works hard to make sure everyone is at ease and having the best possible time on skis, enabling them to achieve their goals whatever they may be. Having taken up ski racing whilst at university, Ellie is now working towards her Level 3 ISIA.

Ben Patrick

BASI ALPINE LEVEL 3 ISIA, ISIA LEVEL 3 TEACHER, CSCF 1, ALPINE COACH LEVEL 2

Qualified through both the British and Irish instructor systems, Ben is continually training to develop both his teaching and technical skills to ensure that his clients receive the best possible experience from their lessons.

Jo Whiting

BASI ALPINE LEVEL 2 BASI LEVEL 2 SNOWBOARD

Jo is a dual qualified Ski and Snowboard instructor. She thoroughly enjoys seeing a beginner make their first controlled turns, and also refining techniques for those who have been on the snow previously.

Anna Brandt

Anna loves to teach all levels and abilities but especially loves the opportunity to work with adults and develop their skiing, all while creating a great learning atmosphere.

James is a patient and calm teacher who loves to share his enthusiasm for skiing, see people achieve their goals and enjoy this stunning location.

BASI ALPINE LEVEL 2

He enjoys teaching all ages, although in particular children, and loves seeing and helping people progress towards and reach their goals, no matter what it requires or how long it takes!

Olivia Storey

SSSA DISABLED SPORTS SPECIALIST, SSSA ASPIRANT, JUGEND UND SPORT LEITER 3

As a trained physiotherapist she’s especially enthusiastic teaching people with different conditions. Alongside the “normal” skiteaching, Olivia works for PluSport, the national body of disabled sports in Switzerland, organising ski camps.

Gareth is qualified in both the British and American systems and is continually adding to his knowledge and experience to ensure he provides coaching specifically geared to the client’s needs and personal goals.
