Protective measures in place for the coming winter

Switzerland is renowned for it’s nature, fresh air, lakes, forests and of course it’s snow and mountains. However, these days it’s also worth remembering the high quality and safety records of Switzerland in everything it does,  that’s not just the quality of the trains and watches but also the very efficient Swiss health care system.

All tourist providers in Switzerland are taking extra protective measures these days to further protect our customers and offer them a pleasant stay in Switzerland. Altitude are a member of the “Clean and Safe” campaign which is supported by Switzerland Tourism. We are following protective concepts based on hygiene and behaviour rules as well as on the principles of health and employee protection set by the Federal Office of Public Health OFSP and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO.

Below you can find some of the protective measures which will be in place to help keep you extra safe this coming winter.

The Office Team 

All Staff will follow the State Guidelines
There will be regular cleaning of surfaces and objects in the office
Compulsory hand disinfection and masks for customers when entering the sales office
Clients will be encouraged to book on the phone or via email rather than in person in the office
The office will be regularly aired, to welcome the fresh mountain air to our office!
There will be protective screens in place to protect staff and customers
We will encourage credit card payments over cash payments

Our Ski Instructors

All Staff will be following the State Guidelines whilst skiing and teaching – to be clearly explained to our customers at the start of a lesson.
To protect our customers all of our instructors will be live and active on the Swiss Covid app
This winter there will be a ‘No Hand Shake’ rule – elbow’s only sorry!
Hand disinfection for clients and instructors if stopping for a coffee break
It’s likely to be a state rule, but anyway we will impose compulsory wearing of masks on lifts if sitting or standing close to our customers
Wearing masks at group meeting point by all children or adults over 12 years
Kids on lunches – each ski group will be seated together where possible when taking lunch / lunch will only be available on full day lessons this year.
Instructors and customers can choose to take chair lifts over large cable cars where possible.
Wearing of masks is compulsory in all forms of public transport nationwide. From Monday, 6 July, persons over the age of 12 will have to wear a mask.
